Carbon Nano Tube Material

  • What is Carbon Nano tube?

    Have you heard about "Carbon Nanotube (hereinafter called CNT)"?
    This is the material that is expected to be used in various ways such as semi-conductor, fuel cell, optical equipment and structural material.
    It was recently broadcasted by mass media that, in theory, CNT can be used even to make a space elevator.
    Newly the combination of CNT and fishing rods will bring about a new phase for the rod production.

    Fishing rods have been functionalized in accordance with material's progressing.
    We experienced a drastic change in rod's material from glass fiber to carbon fiber.
    Today's rods have become far more lightweight than the rods of ten years ago, by controlling resin amount of resin-impregnated carbon fiber.
    To maintain elasticity and strength, we have added different material such as Boron and Kevlar fiber. In this way, each company has competed regarding various kinds of technology each other.
    However, if we add different material, it is inevitable to make a rod heavier.
    So, it has become extremely difficult to combining lightweight, elasticity and strength altogether.
    CNT has appeared to solve this situation.
    CNT penetrates into resin connecting each of carbon fiber, and enhancing them to connect tightly.
    This improves interlaminar strength, and maintains elasticity and strength even it is lightweight.

  • Bringing about new phase

    In 2013, we only released CNT models mainly used with carbon fiber, but we are currently designing composite models of carbon and glass fiber as future products.
    Combining CNT and our own technology "Magna-flex" method may bring out infinite potential.
    Fishing rods are still on the way to progress. Please expect our next models.

    We have two major materials with different characteristics: carbon fiber and glass fiber.
    Furthermore carbon fiber has various characteristics by its elasticity, so it is also possible to make other characteristics by combining different elasticity.

    We have established two types of "Magna-flex" methods below:
